Welcome to First Grade!

Let me introduce myself...

I'm your first grade teacher, Mrs. Amy Maughan. I live in Hyrum with my husband and three wonderful children. Our oldest son is in second grade, our second son is in kindergarten and our youngest, a daughter is two years old. They are all enthusiastic learners and love love love to read like their mom.  I hope you too are enthusiastic about learning this year and excited to read more.

Some of my favorite things to do is READING, playing superheroes with my children, finding opportunities to teach, and spending time with my family.  I enjoy the warmer months, like Spring and Summer because we spend most of the day outside exploring the outdoors or splashing and running through the sprinklers.  My favorite thing about first grade is meeting all my new first graders and getting to know you. First graders are just the best.
